Long live the rot is the 2nd album of German/Swedish based Old School Death Metal trio ROTPIT.
10 tracks – more demanding – sicker – more filthy – unique – and to the bone.
Rotfreaks who already appreciated the highly acclaimed debut Let there be rot (2023) will get an even deadlier injection with this one.
This album marks the premiere of the new drummer Erik Barthold (known from Swedish Doomers LEFT HAND SOLUTION and the glorious punkband DET KRISTET USEENDE).
We were aiming for a drummer being located closeby to main songwriter Jonny Pettersson, so that the whole songs will get a more natural flow and to become more a real band with the ambition to play live, too. Erik did a hell of a job in pushing the songs, but still with a real and human touch in the sound landscape of rot.
The album was again produced by songwriter Jonny Pettersson (MASSACRE, WOMBBATH) at Studio UNBOUND. On the top the mastering was done at NEVO Studios in Sundsvall, Sweden.
The vocals, lyrics and concept of the album are delivered by Ralf Hauber (REVEL IN FLESH,
HEADS FOR THE DEAD, FETID ZOMBIE, JUST BEFORE DAWN).
Long live the rot is vocalwise his most brutal sounding contribution to the scene. Beware of this massive maggot swarm and watchout for livedates in 2025.
